ABOUT US

NEW AGE

is born to fill the room which exists for a quality newspaper that will occupy the high ground professionally and meet the needs of an informed and influential audience for news, analysis, comment and specialized features.

NEW AGE will

  • Provide an accurate and comprehensive report of the news in the context that gives it meaning
  • Act as a forum for the exchange of comment and criticism
  • Articulate and advance the goal of the good society
  • Project a representative view of the society
  • Act as a check on the abuse of power at all levels of society
  • Advance the course of free but socially responsible enterprise.

STAKEHOLDERS

New Age is published by Century Media Limited, a company whose shares were subscribed to by Nigerians who represent a cross section of the country’s geopolitical zones. Their aim is to set new standards for the media in Nigeria and elsewhere. This group of investors broke new ground when right from inception of the company they provided that all who work in it shall be real stake-holders. Hence the provision that 10% of the profit after tax of the company be shared among staff quite apart from the worker-friendly conditions of service.

But ultimately, given the objectives that guide New Age, every Nigerian is a stake-holder in it.

New Age aspires to be one of the finest newspapers anywhere, a commitment demonstrated by provision of modern facilities the paper going daily from Day One. Published in Lagos and printed in the newspaper’s own, modern all-colour press, offices are being opened in all the strategic centres in the country.

THE MEDIUM CONVEYS THE MESSAGE

Because of our highly-trained, carefully chosen manpower and our modern production processes- an integrated, computerized pre-press unit and our brand new colour press- New Age will be a visual delight to the reader. With judicious use of computer graphics and illustrations, intelligent use of photographs and superior page planning, New Age stands for easy reading.

For advertisers, all this means that your
copy comes out as a bold statement for
your message.
